Where does the name Kvasi come from?

Kvasi takes its name from Kvasir, one of the wisest figures in Norse mythology. According to the myths, Kvasir was created when different groups combined their knowledge, symbolising the idea that wisdom grows when different perspectives come together.

The name felt particularly relevant to us because Alexander grew up in Denmark and May grew up in Singapore. Our childhoods, cultures, and educational experiences were different, but each offered valuable lessons worth carrying forward.

Kvasi was built around the idea of combining the best of both — bringing together strong foundations, curiosity, exploration, independence, and creativity within a single learning world.

We chose the name Kvasi because it reflects both the Norse-inspired world of the platform and the belief that learning becomes richer when different ideas, experiences, and perspectives come together.
